But I do underst...Stunning job you did on the IXL! But I do understand why yu would want a more modern real slow combustion replacement. We used a tiny Rayburn 3 made in South Africa in the early 1950s in a farmhouse that had no power other than solar and it worked brilliantly to heat up the hot water for our showers using a tank int he roof cavity and a wetback and just thermosyphoning and it too kept our kitchen warm but used little wood since it was a slow combustion.
